sooooooooon

My little sister is having her first baby.  It could be anytime now.  ANYTIME.

Besides the birth of my own children, I have never been this excited for a baby to be born.

And it almost has nothing to do with the fact that I get to leave my kids for an entire week and help take care of my new little niece.  Although, yeah - a week away from my kids, WHOOOOOOOO!!

I keep texting my sister and asking if she's in labor yet.  She keeps texting back, "yeah, you totally missed it.  STOP ASKING ME THAT."  Because like any other woman waiting for labor, she's really tired of the anticipation.  And swollen feet.  And general, horrible uncomfortableness.

She did text me when she lost her mucus plug.  And I texted back, "Awesome, what did it look like?"  Because I never saw any of mine.  And then we talked to eachother about how you can say anything disgusting about pregnancy and people get excited, but in real life you'd never even mention the word mucus in any form of conversation.

My sister is having a baby!!!  Ack, I'm just so excited.  I can barely stand it........

That IS exciting! Since you wrote this nearly twelve hours ago, I'm hoping she's in labor NOW!! Right now. And that you are on your way to be with her.

Hope everything goes smoothly.

That is exciting. I love it when it's not me anymore, ha ha!
Love your blog!

Awesome, I've been doing the same thing for my little sister for two weeks now. But last night all the waiting stopped and she had the baby!!! I wonder if it's too late to arrange a week away from my kids to help her with the new baby?

Awesome that you get to go help! It's practically a vacation for you!

And I got your package! Thank you so much!! The hat is adorable, and I love the bows. The ballerina one is probably my fave since I've made such a big deal about her being a dancer. I need to take some pics and show everyone your handiwork! Thanks again!

She seems too young to have a baby! Which just shows how out of touch I am. ;)

You're lucky. I never got a sister so I never get to text one and irritate her about when she's actually going to HAVE the baby instead of continually talkin' about it.

Yah, mucus plugs, cervix dilation, nipple pain....it's all some great conversation starters!

I'm kind of jealous. My sister had a miscarriage a few months ago. Which was devastating. But now I am super impatient for her to have a baby. So that I can help her. And hold a little baby.

Good luck!

GIVEAWAY (of the photo Christmas card variety)

I think I just creeped out my four year old. I pulled out the, "You'd better go to bed because Santa's Elves are watching you to make sure you're being good!" routine. His eyes got big, and round, and scared. And he said, "Why would they do that?!" Also, our church building burned down yesterday. No wait, it didn't. But the alarm went off, and the entire ward just sat there in the chapel (and gym, because we have an enormous ward.) I sat there too. I don't know what everyone else was thinking, but the thought going through my head was, "Can somebody please get that alarm turned off, it is WAY TOO LOUD!!!!" Seriously, I think our ward is now 37% deafer after that. Oh, and there was no actual fire. And the first fire truck to show up was driven by one of our ward members who was on duty that day. Good times. And now, that GIVEAWAY: For procrastinators everywhere (that would include me) I'm giving away one free photo Christmas card d

little pieces of my heart will be for sale at D.I.

I have this thing about my kids clothes. The thing is, I LIKE BUYING THEM CLOTHES. I get in trouble frequently for this. It's just that the old ones get so boring after awhile. And I hate it when the really cheap clothes look like poop after washing them a couple of times. Luckily, I live in a city that has outlet stores. I love outlet stores (and Ebay!) Alot of the time you can find higher quality clothes for Walmart prices so how could I NOT buy them? It would be like wasting money for me NOT to get a couple $4 shirts at OshKosh. Right? RIGHT?!! The problem is - we have tiny closets. Miniature, puny, ridiculous, TINY closets. The other problem is - I have saved EVERYTHING. Not only are the kids' closets chuck full of stuff, but we have multiple rubbermaid bins in our garage full of baby clothes they've all grown out of. Also, we may not be having any more children. And I say "may not" because if I say "for sure not" someone will have to co
