ho hum

That's me.  Blogging.

You know that line in the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" where she says:
"My brain just stopped.  It was going right along and then, rrrrrt, stopped...."

See, I'm demonstrating.

'Cause that's me.  Blogging.  Again. In a very stopping-brain sort of way.

I saw the movie Eclipse the other day.  Not on opening night though - don't want to make THAT mistake again.  Alright, fine, I've never been to a Twilight movie on opening night.  Although I did for Harry Potter a few times.  So technically, I am the nerd you thought I was when I said I wouldn't be making THAT mistake again.

Eclipse was good.  Robert Pattinson didn't wear his awkwardly strained face through the whole thing.  And I think Kristin Stewart blinked about 1/4 of the times that she did in the first two movies.  Also, vampires break apart like marbled Greek sculptures so it's ok to show them decapitated....or in the act of decapitation and not call it "real" violence.  So, you know, all in all, it was pretty good.

I also saw Toy Story 3 in 3D with Two Bits and Opie for Two Bit's birthday (which reminds me - this was supposed to be the year of "dedicated birthday post to child...on birthday". So I should really get to that sometime.)

Toy Story 3 was pretty much awesome.  Except that my kids are afraid of all things 3D.  So when the movie started rolling I had a set of screaming kids who refused to wear their glasses.  And that's always super fun.  In a crowded theater.  But I'm sort of one of those, "Whatever - get over it" kind of moms.  So I forced them to take deep breaths and wear the stinking glasses that cost us extra money.  So then they both watched it with their little fingers clinging to their glasses, ready to yank them at any time the 3D became too "scary."  Sheeesh, they're just talking, moving toys being ruled over by an evil bear that smells like strawberries - - there's NOTHING to be afraid of.

Which also happens to be my opinion of Chucky.  But that's a whole other story.

Oh, sorry.  My brain stopped again.

Which is probably my cue to go to bed.  But then again, it could just mean that I...

Oh, I just need to see Toy Story. Did you cry? Because everybody cried in it. If you didn't it tells a lot about you. So did you or didn't you? I can't believe you didn't answer that question in your post!! :)

Saw Eclipse. It was good. Haven't seen Toy Story yet because I'm a bad mother.

I didn't really understand the whole vampires breaking into stone thing. That movie is just too cerebral for me. Excuse me while I watch Jacob take off his shirt some more.

Haven't seen either of those movies yet! But I did just see Karate Kid and enjoyed it quite a bit.

At least you brain works long enough for you to post a blog post... me? Not so much.
I fall asleep while typing, too. And reading. And driving. No, not really, but my hubby always worries that I will. Which is convenient on long trips because he won't let me drive. Wah. (heh heh).
And I liked Eclipse a LOT more than Twilight (which I did get talked in to the midnight showing. I fell asleep, of course. But, when we rented it and watched it at home in the middle of the afternoon, I STILL fell asleep). But I liked New Moon best. Jacob's muscles were a lot bigger. That was eye candy; nothing else. But looking at them kept me awake!

GIVEAWAY (of the photo Christmas card variety)

I think I just creeped out my four year old. I pulled out the, "You'd better go to bed because Santa's Elves are watching you to make sure you're being good!" routine. His eyes got big, and round, and scared. And he said, "Why would they do that?!" Also, our church building burned down yesterday. No wait, it didn't. But the alarm went off, and the entire ward just sat there in the chapel (and gym, because we have an enormous ward.) I sat there too. I don't know what everyone else was thinking, but the thought going through my head was, "Can somebody please get that alarm turned off, it is WAY TOO LOUD!!!!" Seriously, I think our ward is now 37% deafer after that. Oh, and there was no actual fire. And the first fire truck to show up was driven by one of our ward members who was on duty that day. Good times. And now, that GIVEAWAY: For procrastinators everywhere (that would include me) I'm giving away one free photo Christmas card d

little pieces of my heart will be for sale at D.I.

I have this thing about my kids clothes. The thing is, I LIKE BUYING THEM CLOTHES. I get in trouble frequently for this. It's just that the old ones get so boring after awhile. And I hate it when the really cheap clothes look like poop after washing them a couple of times. Luckily, I live in a city that has outlet stores. I love outlet stores (and Ebay!) Alot of the time you can find higher quality clothes for Walmart prices so how could I NOT buy them? It would be like wasting money for me NOT to get a couple $4 shirts at OshKosh. Right? RIGHT?!! The problem is - we have tiny closets. Miniature, puny, ridiculous, TINY closets. The other problem is - I have saved EVERYTHING. Not only are the kids' closets chuck full of stuff, but we have multiple rubbermaid bins in our garage full of baby clothes they've all grown out of. Also, we may not be having any more children. And I say "may not" because if I say "for sure not" someone will have to co
